So yeah once again I am back into the MMOFPS scene. yesterday was spent pretty much downloading and playing the various MMOFPS games that are out there. The first one I downloaded and played was Operation 7. the weapon customization system was pretty cool. Overall the gameplay was okay but it was kind of hard to spot enemies. Plus the leaning around corners thing was a but flawed. Most of the maps were okay. (FYI the map Industry is O7’s 2fort) The second I tried was Soldier Front. now there is a steaming pile of crap if there ever was one. you cant hit shit, you rent underpowered weapons, you get VERY little in game currency when you win a match. The game is just bad. While I didn’t actually play this game yesterday I still want to talk about it. It’s called crossfire, and it’s really good. There is no weapon renting system, you buy it you keep it. Although there is durability but it’s not bad. The game is pretty balanced, your bullets actually hit people, and there is a really cool mode called ghost mode. But there are 2 glaring flaws. 1: The hackers. They are everywhere in that game, especially in the pistol matches. 2: the votekick system. NO one fucking votes EVER, it causes a lot of grief. I would also like to mention battlefield heroes. It’s a dumbed down TF2 with only three classes (soldier, can use rockets. Scout/spy thing, can use snipers or pistols, also a kinife. Has limited invisibility where he can only be seen when in range. Machine gun guy, carries a machine gun and can heal people and self in a certain radius.) It’s not as fun as it sounds. Third game I downloaded was Combat arms. It was allright, the rent a upgrade/weapon system isn’t that great. Fourth Game is one I played before with Gunstar X (I actually played Combat arms with him too, but the game got too easy so I quit) called WolfTeam. While is DOES have a weapon renting system, the weapons are fairly cheap. You also get weapons gifted to you quite often by ranking up. It also has a different kind of equip feature. Each weapon has a certain Weapon point cost. While playing a match you get WP for killing people or getting a kill streak or headshot. You can pay a certain amount to use the WP to choose a different weapon set up that you made. It’s quite fun. Oh shit I forgot to mention that you can turn into a werewolf and have a temporary HP boost while in werewolf mode. While in werewolf mode you can climb walls, run on walls, and attack with a powerful melee attack. It’s quite fun. The only bad thing I can say about the game is that it’s easy to steamroll another team. There are a lot more MMOFPS games out there and I am itching to play them. I will keep you guys informed on the quality of the games. so for now, Taco out.
